Key Responsibilities

Complete service orders for basic casino-wide repairs and maintenance duties
Assist in performing minor electrical repairs
Perform minor plumbing and HVAC repairs
Repair and install carpeting, tiles, etc.
Assist in installing equipment such as kitchen equipment, gaming table equipment and air handling units
Participate in snow removal, spill containment, flood response, power failures etc.
Operates various machine shop equipment including: welding equipment, grinders
Perform equipment repairs/replacements activities including accurate, complete, and timely follow-up documentation
Makes recommendations and implements improvements to equipment for productivity, safety, and regulatory compliance
Ensures that all work is performed according to Good Manufacturing Practices
Experience in servicing large production equipment to those found in large kitchens and Laundry facilities.
Further the Casino Rama team approach, respond to questions and provide support and advice to C.R.E.W. members
Comply with Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations
Comply with Casino Rama policies and procedures and Health and Safety Standards
Perform all other duties assigned and assist other trades as required by management.
In the absence of a Shift Engineer or Supervisor, this position will be required to perform in the capacity of Shift Lead. Candidate must demonstrate KSA as well as ability to participate in all mandatory training related to Lead position. Lead rates of $31.30/hr will be paid in accordance with the Collective Agreement.

What You’ll Require

Ontario Industrial Millwright License
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Possess a valid Ontario Driver’s license and provide a clean driver’s abstract on an annual basis
Minimum 4 years related work experience in a large commercial facility in an Engineering Department with regular duties involving facility equipment maintenance and operations
Proficient with keyboarding skills and advance computer skills preferably with building automation systems
Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to lead maintenance crew during a night shift
Time management and organization; ability to multi-task and react to changing priorities
Excellent interpersonal, critical thinking and problem solving skills
Ability to lift 50+ lbs
Previous supervisory experience is an asset
French language skills (verbal and written) are an asset
