Job Description

Mon Pitou Bistro & Bakery is hiring a Kitchen Supervisor to join our Culinary team in Vancouver. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations under the guidance of our Creative Director in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is collaborative, flexible, and excited to be a part of a new venture. Responsibilities:
- Prepare, season, bake and cook items as directed
- Set up and organize seasonal meal kits to hand-off to the FOH on pick-up days
- Collaborate with the FOH Manager with the daily bistro service
- Brainstorm and execute meal kits and catering
- Identify areas for improvement operationally and creatively
- Execute items related to the retail & catering program
- Oversee operational aspects of the kitchen such as service, retail, catering, sanitation, ordering
- Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes such as deep cleaning duties
- Aid in brainstorming and executing rotating offering
- Deep clean the kitchen area to maintain a hygienic work environment
- Receive orders through thorough inspection and then proper storage
- Troubleshoot and explore workarounds when issues arise
- Mentor and lead by example to a team of 7 people.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of line cook experience mandatory
- At least 1 year of supervisory or senior cook position
- Must be able to work 5 days/week with weekend availability mandatory
- FoodSafe level 1 certification
- Familiar with kitchen equipment usage
- Attentive to detail and quality while multitasking
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Personable and level-headed
- Collaborative, dependable and self-motivated
- Work Permit
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
