Calgary staple, National is coming to Toronto! Bordering Front, Spadina and Wellington, the Well complex offers a variety of retail and restaurants in the heart of Downtown Toronto. At National, we have created one of the best places to eat, drink and play. Enjoy our arcade area where you can compete amongst friends or bowl a few frames in our bowling alley.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Welcome and greet guests at the door in a prompt and friendly manner.
Answer text messages, receive and record reservations accurately in a pleasant and attentive manner.
Answer questions about food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services over the phone and in person.
Maintain cleanliness of front desk area, restocking supplies and ensuring menus are organized.
Communicate with servers as to when next tables are going to be arriving.
Monitor and observe guests dining experience, ensuring guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
Assist with settling bills and processing any credit, debit or cash transactions as required.
Thank guests for their visit as they exit the restaurant and invite them to return.
Be ready and willing to provide support as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the manager in charge.
Assist in arranging transportation for guests if required.
Execute ad-hoc tasks are required.
WHAT YOU HAVE

1 years’ experience is preferred but not required.
Experience with the Open Table program before, preferred not required.
Strong English communication skills with ability to establish and develop relationships with team members, partners, and customers.
Basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.
Basic math skills, can handle money, and operate a point-of-sale system.
Valid Liquor Service certification.
Ability to maintain professionalism, control, and composure in difficult and stressful situations.
Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
