Mekong Restaurant a Vietnamese restaurant in Kingston ON. Mekong Restaurant is looking for 1 food service supervisor to supervise the daily operations of the restaurant.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Supervise staff by scheduling and coordinating work assignments, evaluating employee performance in conjunction with the manager

·        Plan, direct, and supervise the preparation, cooking, and serving of food and the proper use of equipment in a safe and sanitary environment.

·        Ensure the training of staff in terms of their tasks, hygiene and safety standards

·        Monitor and ensure a consistent level of quality and food service in accordance with established standards

·        Order food and non-food supplies, check deliveries and maintain inventory records

·        Complete assigned shift paperwork and other reports

·        Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage

·        Provide customer service and address customer complaints or concerns

·        Ensure all health and safety regulations in the restaurant are followed

Qualification and Skill Requirements:

·        2 years of restaurant/ food service experience. Supervisory or managerial role is an asset

·        Must have excellent customer service skills

·        Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

·        Must be a team player with an exceptional work ethic and attention to detail

·        Physical ability to perform the duties of the position

·        Ability to supervise and organize work

·        Ability to operate related equipment

·        Ability to work all shifts including night, weekends and holidays

·        Completion of high school is required. Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset
