Hello ! I'm assisting one of our customers in the food industry, located on Montreal's North Shore, in their search for a Warehouse Director.
Main responsibilities :
-Supervise all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order picking and shipping.
-Analyze and improve logistics processes to maximize efficiency and reduce operational costs.
-Recruit, train and supervise the warehouse team, ensuring compliance with safety and productivity standards.
-Ensure effective inventory management to maintain an optimal balance between supply and demand.
-Work with suppliers to plan deliveries and resolve any supply problems.
-Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure that products stored and shipped comply with company standards and food regulations.
-Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety laws and regulations, as well as workplace safety standards.
-Develop and manage the warehouse budget, monitoring expenses and identifying cost reduction opportunities.
-Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for innovation and implementing improvement projects.
-Prepare regular reports on warehouse performance, such as key performance indicators (KPIs), and present this information to management to guide strategic decisions.
Skills and Abilities :
-Very good command of French (read, written and spoken), functional English;
- Good command of the operations and challenges of food processing in a federally inspected and SQF-certified plant.
-Knowledge of the various laws and regulations governing the storage and distribution of perishable products
distribution of perishable products;
-Knowledge of the realities of exporting food products to the United States and other foreign countries (an asset)
-Computer skills: MS Office suite, scanner systems, ability to learn new software.
The use of English is required for the following reasons:
-Communication with international customers
-Collaboration with English-speaking partners
-Drafting documents in English
PROCESS: Initial interview with Gabriel Lemoine, Fed Supply Recruitment Consultant - followed by an interview with the company's Human Resources Manager and Position Manager.
