The Position
This role liaises with Culinary, Kitchen Services and Guest Services with a focus on managing and maintaining Gateway Casinos standards and exceptional guest and employee experiences.  You will provide leadership to ensure effective management of the beverage services on the gaming floor and in all bars, develop employees and engage and motivate the Banquet & Concession team to deliver a high customer experience and product knowledge to our guests.
This role will support the continuity of Banquets and Concessions operations across the Rama property, as required.
Key Responsibilities 
  • Ensure correct staffing levels to maximize productivity and business performance to be fully conversant in all training modules for each area
  • Work with the TA team to lead staffing and recruitment initiatives
  • Oversee the supervision of all staff and performance management process through ongoing coaching, feedback and development to motivate, engage and drive a high performing team
  • Work with and manage budgets to keep effective control of cost of goods and labour
  • Update and maintain all beverage menus in Banquets & Concessions with pricing and content
  • Control all Liquor, wine and beer inventories, purchasing and storage
  • Develop and maintain departmental quality standards and ensure they are met
  • Be fully conversant in all training modules for both Banquets and Concessions
  • Create a positive and engaging work environment people want to be a part of
  • Ensure that the team is working to expectations and standard.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
 
What You’ll Require  
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a leadership role within high volume banquet and bar operations
  • Relevant post-secondary education in Hospitality Management or another related field preferred
  • Smart Serve and Food Handlers certification
  • WHMIS (Training provided)
  • AGCO Category 1 Licensing
  • Liquor Policies and Procedures Training
  • Extensive experience in banquet operation and concession services
  • Varied experience in the hospitality industry from hotel to restaurant to bars is an asset
  • Experience leading multiple outlets is an asset
  • Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in hot, cold and humid environments (indoor/outdoor) as required
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and special events needed
