House of Dawn specializes in Modern and Delightful Asian fusion cuisine with globe inspirations and also offers a large cocktail lounge area, the first of its kind in Richmond.
We are currently looking for experienced individuals who drive positivity, quality and consistency - a team that loves food and beverage, people, most importantly likes to have fun!
JOB POSITION
Mixologists/Bartenders
-Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following standardized recipes and presentation techniques.
-Greet and interact with guests, provide menu recommendations, and take drink orders.
-Mix, garnish, and present drinks with a focus on consistency and quality with SOP provided by the company.
-Monitor and maintain inventory levels of beverages, glassware, and supplies.
-Handle cash transactions, process payments, and return change accurately.
-Address guest inquiries, concerns, or special drink requests with professionalism.
-Create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere at the bar, engaging in conversation with customers.
-Ensure compliance with alcohol laws, health and safety standards, and responsible service guidelines.
-Prepare and serve drinks promptly, multitasking to accommodate multiple orders.
-Handle guest feedback or complaints with empathy and resolve issues in a positive manner.
-Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and equipment.
-Collaborate with the Bar Manager to develop new cocktails and update the drink menu.
-Promote responsible drinking and offer alternatives to guests who have had too much to drink.
-Check guests' IDs to verify legal drinking age and refuse service if necessary.
-Prepare and serve specialty coffee, tea, or other non-alcoholic beverages when requested.
-Keep up to date with industry trends, new beverage products, and bartender techniques.
-Provide assistance in creating and updating promotions, theme nights, and special events.
-Maintain the bar's ambiance and presentation to enhance the overall guest experience.
-Collaborate with the bar manager and restaurant management for any necessary improvements.
-Ensure a neat and professional appearance, following dress code standards.
Requirement:
•Minimum 2-year bartending experience in Fine Dining or Casual-Fine Dining
•Knowledge of food and beverage (Knowledge in Asian Cuisine is an asset)
•Knowledge and education of mixology
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•The ability to think on your feet in fast-paced environments
•Flexibility and adaptability
•Experience in Touch Bistro is asset
•WSET in Wine or Sake is asset
•Work Permit
