Job Description

Experience:

3 years to less than 5 years

Tasks:

• Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality food service.
• Lead, train, and supervise kitchen staff including cooks, prep staff, and dishwashers.
• Ensure consistent preparation and presentation of all menu items, including steaks, pasta, and pub-style dishes.
• Develop, update, and standardize menu items and seasonal specials in collaboration with management.
• Maintain food quality, portion control, and plating standards across all dishes served.
• Manage kitchen scheduling, staff assignments, and workflow during busy service periods.
• Monitor inventory levels, order food supplies, and control food costs to meet budget targets.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations (FIFO, proper storage, temperature control).
• Conduct regular checks of kitchen cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and safety practices.
• Handle food preparation planning, including prep lists and production schedules.
• Address customer feedback related to food quality and make improvements as needed.
• Reduce food waste and improve kitchen efficiency through proper planning and execution.
• Work closely with management to maintain consistency with pub branding and customer expectations.
• Step in during service to assist line cooks and ensure timely order completion during peak hours.
