Job Description

ZIKR is a new Indian restaurant located inside the Holiday Inn Hotel in Cloverdale, BC, and we are looking for an experienced and motivated Bar Manager to lead our bar operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily bar service, maintaining high standards of quality and guest experience, managing inventory and cost control, and leading the bar team with professionalism and energy. We are looking for someone who is organized, hands-on, service-driven, and confident in creating a welcoming and efficient bar environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day bar operations and ensure smooth service
• Lead, train, schedule, and support bartenders and bar staff
• Maintain high standards of drink quality, presentation, cleanliness, and service
• Monitor inventory, ordering, stock levels, and liquor cost control
• Develop and maintain beverage menus, cocktails, and feature promotions
• Ensure compliance with liquor laws, health and safety standards, and company policies
• Manage opening and closing procedures for the bar
• Handle guest concerns professionally and help create a positive guest experience
• Work closely with management and kitchen teams to support overall restaurant operations
• Monitor bar sales performance and help drive revenue through promotions and upselling

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Bar Manager or in a similar leadership role
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, and bar operations
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills
• Strong understanding of inventory control, ordering, and cost management
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment
• Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and local liquor regulations
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Serving It Right certification is required or an asset
