Position: Server (Seasonal Part-Time) The Postmark Hotel, Newmarket
The Role at a Glance: This role plays a key role in all Food & Beverage Outlets within to serve our guests in a friendly and professional manner, and work as a team member to ensure all tasks are completed before a shift end. Our servers have strong cocktail & beer knowledge and experience and work in a fast paced/high volume dynamic environment. This role reports into the F&B Manager.
Your Day To Day Duties:
• Welcome guests and promptly attend to tables
• Serve food and beverages to guests & making recommendations if needed
• Share your menu knowledge to assist guests with questions and special requests
• Record transactions in the MICROS system correctly and timely
• Check-in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each course and beverage
• Clean tables, complete closing duties and re-stock tableware and other supplies
• Comply with all Archive standards, policies and procedures at all times.
• Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
You have:
• 2 yrs of previous serving experience preferred
• Proven ability to work efficiently in a high volume environment
• Great conversational skills and teamwork-oriented
• Positive outlook and outgoing personality
• Able to stand/walk for long hours
• Must have open availability on weekends
Special Requirements and Certifications:
• Smart Serve Certification
• Ability to meet the physical requirements
