NODO Liberty is hiring experienced HOSTS for the upcoming busy season!
We are an Italian restaurant concept with 4 locations across the city of Toronto. We are in the Junction, St. Clair West, Leslieville and Liberty Village.
We are an event-driven, high-volume restaurant and are looking to grow our team!
We are seeking friendly and experienced hosts to join our team. You will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our customers. Your role will involve greeting and seating guests, managing reservations and waitlists, and assisting with various tasks to support the smooth operation of the restaurant.
*** We are only looking for someone who is well-versed in using OpenTable and who is confident taking the lead in organizing/seating reservations, using waitlists, maximizing seating, etc. Experience is necessary for this role. Please do not apply if you do not have experience using OpenTable **
Duties:
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly welcome upon arrival
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Assist in managing reservations and waitlist
- Maintain knowledge of table availability, seating capacity, and server sections
- Communicate effectively with guests to understand their needs and preferences
- Provide recommendations on menu items and answer questions about the restaurant's offerings
- Collaborate with servers, bussers, and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service flow
- Monitor dining areas to ensure cleanliness and proper set-up
- Handle guest concerns or complaints in a professional manner, escalating issues as necessary
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized host/host station
Skills:
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Previous experience in restaurant setting/using OpenTable
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure
- Knowledge of food service procedures and hospitality industry standards
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus
