Freehouse Collective is hiring Coat Check/Cover Charge to work at The Lamplighter Public House. Drawing inspiration from the UK, we’ve put a modern spin on what a ‘proper pub’ should be in the 21st century.
If you care about food, beer, cocktails, sports, music and also happen to take pride in providing great hospitality, this is where you need to be. Dedication to technical service is a must. Attention to detail and a sense of urgency are required. An outgoing, engaging personality will also serve you well.
Whether you’re looking to work full time or just a few shifts each week, there’s a good chance we have a spot for you. Availability is important, but we’ll make it work. Apply here or drop in and ask for Jon.

Jeff started this independent company 24 years ago. We’ve grown to include pubs, cocktail clubs, nightclubs and barbershops, operating primarily in Vancouver and also in Toronto.
Housed in the historic Dominion Grand Hotel (est. 1899) in Gastown, this pub was renovated in 2007 and has retained its original tin-stamped ceilings, exposed brick walls, stained glass windows and railings. The rest of this storied room has been given a grand renovation, including a new sound system and jukebox, classic pub furniture and a big screen TV. A long-time favourite Vancouver watering hole, the Lamplighter is the city’s busiest pub for good reason: friendly service, honest local pub fare, a large selection of craft beer and cocktails, comprehensive sports programming, talented DJs and live bands give the legendary Lamplighter its famed atmosphere.
