Position: Pastry Assistant (Part-Time)
What You’ll Do:
As a Pastry Assistant, you’ll work closely with the Executive Pastry Chef and Head Chef to prepare exceptional pastries and desserts that align with our culinary standards. You'll also play a hands-on role in supporting kitchen prep, training junior team members, and ensuring service runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Pastry Chef in daily pastry production and service prep.
  • Maintain mise-en-place and ensure pastry items are ready and consistent for each service.
  • Assist with the planning and creation of prep lists, and help lead AM prep when needed.
  • Ensure proper storage, rotation, and inventory of pastry ingredients.
  • Communicate prep needs and menu updates clearly to both BOH and FOH teams.
  • Support junior prep cooks and help maintain a positive and efficient work environment.

What You Bring:
  • Minimum 1 year of kitchen experience (pastry experience preferred); high-volume restaurant experience is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of kitchen techniques, food safety, and handling protocols.
  • Calm and focused under pressure with strong time management and multitasking skills.
  • A love for Italian cuisine and a desire to grow within a dynamic, team-oriented kitchen.
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn from senior chefs.
