Job Description

The Dirty Apron Delicatessen is looking to expand our team and is hiring for the position of a Junior Sous Chef.

Responsibilities & job requirements:

- Must have 2-3 yrs experience working in a professional kitchen as a Jr. Sous or in a similar leadership position.
- Eligible to legally work in Canada.
- Bake daily pastries and breads.
- Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch service according to recipes and standards, ensuring the highest quality and presentation.
- Assist in daily catering orders - making gourmet sandwiches, salads, soups and various platters (cheese, charcuterie, antipasti, etc.)
- Maintain high standard of cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, food stock and preparation.
- Handle food safely and adhere to food safety regulations at all times.
- Strong communication skills that effectively work with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and maintain good consistent work flow.
- Support the team in various kitchen duties as needed, contributing to a positive work environment and is a team player.

Working hours: Monday - Friday; 6am - 2pm (off stat holidays)
Wage: $22/hr
