The Lunch Lady is a celebrated Vietnamese restaurant known for bringing the vibrant flavors of Saigon street food to Vancouver. With a loyal customer base and a dynamic dining experience, we are proud to have earned the Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition for three consecutive years. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Bar Manager/FOH Service Manager to join our Vancouver team and ensure our high standards of food, service, and guest experience are consistently met.

Position Overview
The Bar Manager/FOH Service Manager will oversee all front-of-house (FOH) and beverage operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day service, exceptional guest experiences, and strong financial performance. Working closely with the General Manager, this role combines leadership in beverage innovation with operational management to uphold our reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities
• Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and supervise FOH staff to ensure top performance and foster a positive work environment.
• Bar Operations: Oversee beverage service, liquor ordering, inventory management, and cocktail recipe development.
• Customer Relations: Actively engage with guests, address feedback promptly, and ensure a welcoming and memorable dining atmosphere.
• Operational Management: Coordinate daily FOH service operations, including scheduling, cleanliness, and quality assurance.
• Financial Accountability: Manage inventory, labor costs, and budgets to achieve financial goals.
• Staffing: Assist with recruiting, training, and onboarding new staff members to build a cohesive team.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and licensing regulations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the General Manager and ownership to execute strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
• Culture & Standards: Promote inclusivity, teamwork, and The Lunch Lady’s commitment to excellence.

Qualifications
• Proven experience in bar or restaurant management, preferably in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Extensive knowledge of classic and modern cocktails and a strong background in mixology.
• Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
• Solid understanding of cost control, inventory management, scheduling, and payroll.
• High-level organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking ability.
• Familiarity with Vietnamese cuisine is an asset but not required; a willingness to learn is essential.
• Valid Serving It Right certification.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
