OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW
We are looking for Food Runners to join our team. The Food Runner will assist Restaurant servers and bartenders to ensure the proper set up of the station and work areas and support the smooth serving of food and beverages to all guests. At the end of service, the Food Runner will prepare the set up for the next meal period/next day. The Food Runner will also offer support to all other colleagues in the restaurant, a team of professionals with a passion for food and beverage.
AM Food Runner (s/b scheduled to start at 11:00 am) - responsible for coffee/tea production and service required (throughout the Club) in between 11:00 am and 11:30 am.
Report for duty punctually, in full uniform according to appearance and grooming standards
Demonstrate a complete understanding of all policies, procedures and standards stated by the Club.
Consistently offer professional, friendly and warm hospitality to all Members.
Foster and practice teamwork and cooperation with all other positions existing in the Club and maintain a positive working relationship with them
Attend all required training sessions and be aware of any changes to menus, Club and departmental policies and procedures, service standards as well as business trends and requirements.
Take ownership and uphold the values stated in the Steps of Service provided by Management
Demonstrate a complete knowledge and understanding of the sequence of service, food and beverage service standards, and all other service standards as outlined by the Restaurant Supervisors
Communicate all service requirements to the respective team members in an efficient and effective way
Ensure that all work areas and stations are kept clean and tidy at all times
Perform all opening, side and closing duties as well as all daily and weekly duties to the set standards as outlined by the Restaurant Supervisors
Attend pre-shifts and meetings to be well informed about all events, promotions and other news concerning the Club.
Assist all members (internal and external) with any enquiries or requests in a pleasant, helpful manner
Actively participate in and follow all health and safety policies and procedures set out for the Club
Perform all other duties as required
ENSURING AND PROVIDING EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE
Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
Responds to and handles guest problems and complaints with the Restaurant Supervisors.
Strives to improve personal service performance.
Memorize all menus and daily features
Be attentive during pre-shifts
Reviews guest satisfaction results with Restaurant Supervisors.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Previous food running experience an asset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrate superior customer service philosophy
Must have Serving it Right certification
Must have FOODSAFE Level 1 certification
Will be required to maintain a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
