Overview:
As a Houseperson/Porter at Rosemead House, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel’s daily activities. You will assist with room maintenance, guest services, and the transportation of items, contributing to a seamless and memorable experience for our guests. Your dedication to cleanliness, organization, and guest satisfaction will be instrumental in upholding the high standards of Rosemead House.
Responsibilities:
Room and Public Area Support:
• Assist Housekeeping Staff by delivering and collecting linens, supplies, and equipment.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of housekeeping storage areas and service corridors.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in public areas, including lobbies, hallways, and restrooms.
Guest Services:
• Provide assistance to guests with luggage, transportation, and any other needs to enhance their stay.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
• Will be required to park guests’ cars when required.
Maintenance and Safety:
• Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, fixing minor repairs, and ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, reporting any hazards or maintenance issues to the appropriate department.
Inventory Management:
• Assist in inventory control by restocking supplies and equipment as needed.
• Notify the supervisor of any shortages or maintenance needs.
Event Support:
• Provide support for hotel events and meetings, including setting up and breaking down event spaces.
• Ensure all event spaces are clean, organized, and ready for guest use.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a similar role in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and moving items.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Must have a clean driving record and valid drivers license.
