CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Embody Rayah’s Values: Good Vibes, Care, and Going the Extra Mile—every day.
- Cook with Care: Prepare high-quality meals and sauces following our recipes, standards, and portion guidelines.
- Keep It Clean: Maintain a tidy workstation and help clean the kitchen before and after each service.
- Stay Safe: Follow hygiene and safety protocols, including proper food labeling, storage, and use-by dates.
- Set the Tone: Lead with positive energy and keep the team motivated and focused.
- Train with Intention: Welcome and guide new team members with clarity and care.
- Stay on Top of Inventory: Monitor supplies and coordinate with the Director—no last-minute scrambles.
- Support Scheduling: Help build balanced schedules that keep the kitchen running smoothly.
IMPORTANT: Must be comfortable with digital tools (Google Suite, especially Sheets, Slack, etc.)
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in a similar position.
- Licence/Certification : Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler, or equivalent (required)
- Soft Skills: Ability to manage the challenges of a kitchen in its ramp-up phase. Solution-oriented, with good vibes and team spirit.
- Language: French is a plus
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
- Salary: $19 to $21 per hour (according profile) + tips.
- Meals: Discounted or free food during your shifts.
WORK SCHEDULE:
- Full-time position, 37.5 hours per week with 8-hour shifts (including lunch break)
- Part time available too.
FLEXIBILITY:
- Restaurant and Café open Monday to Sunday from 8am to 11pm
- Day Shifts, Evening shifts, Overtime available.
