Overall it was a fun work environment. Through my two years at craft there were a lot of changes in this location and it felt like the company was losing itself and its core values while still preaching them. It was great to work there as a server but as a manager there was a lot of overtime that wasn’t compensated (paid or banked hours) the scheduling was very inflexible with continuous scheduling outside of available even with the promise of work life balance.
If you are a hard worker and never want an evening or weekend free this is the place to work.

Great room. Great vibe. Great regulars and great employees

Unfortunately there would only be one bartender on with a full wood and 100 beers on tap and one well. Easily would get a bit backed up and slow down service

I absolutely loved this job. Was always a fast paced environment and didn’t overstaff so was able to make incredible money.

Easy job if you just want to get in, make your money, and go home. High staff turnover so difficult to make lasting friendships, and the types of guests you’re serving are usually quite young and try to over-drink/not buy too much food so really know your serving-it-right. Casual fast-paced pub style service and slightly low average bill totals, but fast table flips to get some sales in.

CRAFT English Bay was not an overall positive experience. The people (not managers) are honestly the best part about this location. Managers would gaslight employees into believing "everyone felt bullied and negatively about your work ethic" this was never true, but happened to three bartenders in the time I worked there. Tip structure was not in favour of those who have the most detailed job descriptions, and you would be at the manager's "whits end" for asking to move from the bar. Hope everyone left is doing great though.

Pretty good experience working for CRAFT. Seconding other reviews, it definitely is a cliquey environment, but for the most part it was a fun, rewarding place to work!

Company does not follow their 'culture values' whatsoever. LEED certified building yet do not follow any of these regulations, do not even compost food waste. Management is very petty and immature, play favourites and are big fans of 'teaching staff lessons' by screwing them over. Lots of top down bullying. Compensation as a manager works out to less than minimum wage per hour once you divide salary by hours worked in a regular week (around 55-60). No HR to speak of, 0 support for staff in crisis situations.
