Relatively chill work environment. Mostly good people, some questionable hires though. The owner clearly hasnt been an employee for a long time with some of the stupid changes he makes all the time. Employee comfort is rarely considered, there's literally no where to sit down if you need to. Love the free food, i think that should be the standard everywhere.

Okay place to work as first job but issues with some management (ego/ignorance)

Flexible hours, great coworkers, but more or less visible prejudice amongst some employees. There were also some questionable managers who made some employees' lives miserable, but think they are all gone now.

Been here for quite some time and I have learned and grown as a server/bartender. This place is perfect for someone who is wanting to elevate their serving responsibilities and grow in the industry. The management is amazing and so down to earth, the staff is small but it feels like family. Overall, amazing location and amazing staff.

I would strongly advise against anyone working for this company. The management is unapproachable, and will bully anyone with any kind of independent/creative thinking. After years of working there it’s clear that they are not part of the north shore local friendly atmosphere. Always very hostile work environment. If I could give a negative rating I would do so. Would like to save any one the suffering of having to deal with this company and the horrible management.

RESPONSE FROM EMPLOYER
========================

Hey there,

We noticed your recent review on EightSix, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. We take all feedback seriously and value the opinions of our employees, past and present. However, we wanted to clarify a few things.

Firstly, we're sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your time with us. We strive to create a positive and supportive work environment for all of our team members, and it's disappointing to hear that we fell short in your case.

Secondly, while we welcome constructive criticism, we don't condone public attacks on our business. We're proud of the hard work that our team puts in every day to provide great food and service to our customers, and negative comments can harm our reputation and affect our team members.

Lastly, we'd like to remind you that we're always open to feedback and suggestions on how we can improve. If you had any concerns during your time with us that you didn't feel comfortable sharing, we'd be happy to hear them now.

Thank you for your understanding, and we hope that you can appreciate where we're coming from.
