I was very fortunate to be trained and supported by likeminded industry professionals who were sincere, hardworking, and inspiring. I was very lucky to have managers that cared about my needs and gave me the encouragement and support to excel and do my best. I started from the bottom as an Server Assistant (despite my experience), and although things were not perfect, with limited resources, the onslaught of COVID decimating potential revenue... we did our best in solidarity as a team. Overtime, I proved myself to some old time colleagues who where territorial in running this ship their own way. We worked hard and played hard and I will cherish these memories forever. I strongly disagreed with the corporate politics of this company in treating the BOH as expendable - this unfortunately resulted in a high turnover rate and we lost our trusted regulars. I hope things have improved because this location has an ambient charm that is like no other. Seaside Provisions will always be one of the highlights in my hospitality career.
