I've worked for Tap off and on since 2015 and this past year it has really changed and become more "profit over people" working people until they pass out in the heat wave, under staffing so they can keep their labour low because of the min wage increase instead of head office increase the labour percentage. Managers can be clicky, you can advance in the company if you are friends with the managers. A lot of the managers who actually cared about the staff have left the pass few years because the company is all about profit and trying to open new locations. They kill you in the summer and then if you aren't tight with managers you get all on call shifts and get called off every time in the winter-instead of getting a seasonal lay off. Honestly better companies to work for you actually care about their staff.

This a very chaotic work place without any supervision.

The place is very unorganized and there is no support for the floor manager or staff. And upper management keeps adding more things to do without providing any added help or a fair compensation for the hard work their employees do.

I'm conflicted because I loved working here for a while. But some decisions made by head office are questionable and have left a sour taste in my mouth. Loyalty will get you nowhere here. But if you are looking for good co-workers, and working hard for pretty decent tips, it's not a bad place to work. If you expect communication and organization, it's not the place for you.

The spot is prime on False Creek, hours are not too late due to noise restrictions in Olympic Village, customers are chill and so is the dress code, the place is almost always busy, the team is one big friends group. Apply if you're reading this.
