House of Dawn specializes in Modern and Delightful Asian fusion cuisine with globe inspirations and also offers a large cocktail lounge area, the first of its kind in Richmond.
We are currently looking for experienced individuals who drive positivity, quality and consistency - a team that loves food and beverage, people, most importantly likes to have fun!
JOB POSITION
SERVERS
-Greet and seat guests, providing them with menus and explaining daily specials.
-Take food and beverage orders, ensure accuracy, and offer menu recommendations.
-Deliver orders promptly and accurately to guests, addressing any special requests.
-Attend to guest needs, refill drinks, and ensure a pleasant dining experience.
-Present checks, process payments, and thank guests for their patronage.
-Maintain a clean and organized work area, including setting and clearing tables.
-Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to coordinate the timing of food and drinks.
-Describe menu items and answer questions about ingredients and preparation methods.
-Address guest inquiries, concerns, and dietary restrictions with professionalism.
-Promote special promotions, up-selling appetizers, desserts, and drinks.
-Handle guest feedback, whether positive or negative, with grace and courtesy.
-Comply with safety and sanitation guidelines, including food safety practices.
-Assist in setting up and breaking down tables, chairs, and dining areas.
-Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and smooth service.
-Upsell wine, cocktails, and other beverages to enhance the dining experience.
-Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
-Attend regular staff meetings and training sessions.
-Stay updated on menu changes, ingredients, and daily specials.
-Relay special requests and dietary restrictions to the kitchen.
-Contribute to creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere to enhance guest satisfaction.
Requirement:
•Minimum 2-year experience in a Server role in Fine Dining or Casual-Fine Dining
•Knowledge of food and beverage (Knowledge in Asian Cuisine is an asset)
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•The ability to think on your feet in fast-paced environments
•Flexibility and adaptability
•Experience in Touch Bistro is asset
•WSET in Wine or Sake is asset
•Work Permit
