Skye Avenue Lounge is a new concept in the heart of Surrey business district, the area is in continuous expansion with new universities, Government offices, and new residential projects coming together.
The restaurant is a brand new structure , highly designed, featuring the 5th World largest whisky collection, a private dining room, 2 chef's tables, 1 main bar, 1 private whisky & cognac lounge, and patio.
Our culinary program will be based on fine dining techniques from scratch, fresh ingredients from local farmers, the kitchen will have a molecular gastronomy and mixology focus program to give key members a unique opportunity to learn, innovate and grow their passion.
POSITION OVERVIEW
- Supporting the Bar & floor operations as and when required with the support of the Bar team
- Ensure guests receive the highest level of beverage quality and service
- Aim to shape himself/ herself into a Bartender by understanding and following the daily operations + opening and closing procedures, maintaining bar preparations through effective FIFO method & stock rotation while minimizing wastages
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working in collaboration with the Bartenders ensuring the bar operates in accordance with the established operational procedures
- Monitoring the physical outlet and storage areas including inventory, cleaning, and repair schedules
- Interacting directly with guests, providing an exceptional hospitality experience
- Maintaining a composed and professional demeanour while providing exemplary service and outlet representation
- Being aware of the menu items, menu and operational changes and communicating the information as applicable
- Protecting the organization, guests, leaders and team members by adhering to applicable food, liquor safety and workplace standards, operational requirements and statutory compliance regulations
- Ensuring that all property, furnishings, equipment, and supplies are used according to proper instructions and intended use
- All duties as assigned by the Bartenders/ Asst. Mixologist in line with the common goals of the organisation
QUALIFICATIONS
- Have extensive experience within similar environment including restaurants, hotels, catering and/or other fast paced high-end establishments
- Have Valid Serving It Right and Food Safe certificates. Certificate in mixology & hands on Bartending experience is a must
- Have an excellent command of both spoken and written English. Knowledge of a second language would be considered an asset
- Have detailed product knowledge and effectively handle all guests and team members inquiries including food and beverage suggestions, dietary food sensitivity or allergy requirements
- Oversee the proper use of products to eliminate waste and spillage
- Have detailed knowledge of the surrounding areas including local amenities, services, and attractions
- Be able to stand for extended periods of time, reach, bend and stoop repeatedly and frequently lift and carry up to 44 pounds
