As a Keyholder, you'll be working at our beautiful gallery in the Distillery District in Toronto. During a typical work day you'll open the gallery and coffee bar, making sure everything is tidy and set in place. You'll greet customers, talk sports, and help them pick out the perfect item or artwork. You'll receive new products, add them to our inventory system and get them ready to be sold in-store and on our online shop. You'll look out for online orders and prep them to be shipped. You'll work on merchandise displays, using your your knowledge of current and historic sports to set up timely displays—and ones that tell a story. As a barista, you'll train on the art of making the perfect espresso, help make coffees and espresso drinks on the ARENA Coffee Bar side, serve alcoholic drinks responsibly, all while keeping everything clean and tidy.
You'll work with our small team on pretty much everything, and can focus on what your specific strengths and interests are. If you've got an eye for photography, videos, and social content, you'll help with posting and driving engagement on our social platforms. Our goal each day will be to help make The SPORT Gallery a haven for existing sports fans, and a place where yet-to-be-fans can learn and gain an appreciation for the history and art of sport.

About The SPORT Gallery
We're not your average sports store. The SPORT Gallery is home The SPORT Archive, one of the most significant collections of North American sports photography, and is therefore more than a retail space. SPORT magazine started in 1946 – eight years prior to Sports Illustrated – and quickly trailblazed its way into the public consciousness. We keep SPORT’s memory alive by preserving over 250,000 original negatives and transparencies, and through our physical locations, which allow visitors to travel back in time and experience the golden era of sports.
The apparel, headwear, accessories, and books we feature are all designed to mirror what you see in the pages of SPORT and in the museum-quality prints on our walls (which we produce in-store in Toronto). Rather than offer “on-field” jerseys or other modern, easily found styles, we work with premium brands to create one-of-a-kind products that tell a story. Our goal is to stay true to our SPORT roots and to communicate the past. To work at The SPORT Gallery is to understand this connection and help tell our unique story.
The SPORT Gallery first opened in 2006 in Toronto's Distillery Historic District. Our first gallery was dedicated entirely to our fine art prints and select paintings from renowned sports artists. In 2009, The SPORT Gallery expanded to offer a selection of vintage-inspired apparel. In 2016, we expanded our flagship Toronto gallery, moving to a 2500-square-foot space in the Distillery District.
Today our flagship gallery features a high-end coffee offering, ARENA Coffee Bar, developed in partnership with Toronto's Pilot Coffee Roasters, and serving as a comfortable space to watch a game, sport documentary, and enjoy a great cup of coffee or specialty beer from Toronto's Left Field Brewery. Our Toronto gallery also doubles as an event space, with large fully automatic pull-out bleacher seating. We frequently feature SPORTTalks, SPORT Trivia nights, and games on the big screen.
