Overview:
As a Night Auditor at Rosemead House, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel during the overnight hours. You will combine your hospitality skills with a strong accounting background managing front desk operations, guest services, and nightly financial reconciliations, providing a seamless experience for our guests and maintaining accurate financial records.
Responsibilities:
Front Desk Operations:
• Welcome and check-in guests with exceptional customer service, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
• Address guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Process guest check-outs, settle bills, and provide detailed invoices upon request.
Nightly Reconciliation:
• Perform end-of-day financial closing, including balancing cash, credit card transactions, and other financial records.
• Reconcile guest accounts, ensuring all charges are accurate and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
• Prepare and distribute daily reports, including occupancy, revenue, and departmental summaries.
Guest Services:
• Maintain a high level of hospitality and service, ensuring guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
• Assist with luggage handling, reservations, and any special requests from guests.
• Monitor security systems and perform nightly property checks to ensure safety and security.
• Serve late night room service for guest after facilities are closed, if required.
Accounting Support:
• Process financial transactions, including room charges, restaurant bills, and miscellaneous charges.
• Ensure all financial documentation is accurate and complete, following company policies and procedures.
Administrative Duties:
• Update and maintain guest information and hotel records in the property management system.
• Prepare daily financial summaries and assist in the preparation of financial statements for management review.
• Ensure all cash handling and financial transactions are conducted in accordance with company policies.
Problem Resolution:
• Handle guest issues and complaints with empathy and efficiency, escalating to management as necessary.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents, ensuring guest safety and security at all times.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in a hotel front desk or night audit role, with a strong understanding of hotel operations and accounting procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail in financial reconciliation.
• Proficiency in hotel property management systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• An understanding for POS and PMS systems.
• Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
