OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW

You are a representative of The Vancouver Club, and you must present yourself in a professional manner at all times. To present, set up and clean all areas of the Club thoroughly, with the key aim of enhancing the member experience by having excellent standards of the Club’s appearance. Maintaining the house, fixing and cleaning all areas. Setting all events in a timely manner, according to Event Order.

RESPONSIBILITIES

-Deliver excellent customer service at all times
-Follow floor plans and communicate with the catering department if issues or changes
need to be addressed.
-Follow daily checklist of ”floor to floor” cleaning
Maintain high standards of presentation and cleanliness in all back-of-house areas and
member areas
-Service all areas of the club, staging all areas to promote our club as an experience for
membership
-Create and work to daily job lists
-Keep up to date with current events throughout the club.
-Report any maintenance issues immediately to the Chief Steward including all furniture,
fittings and equipment repairs
-Reset lighting to the current standards
-Answer to requests in a timely manner, making sure to always meet The Vancouver Club
standards.
-Day to day maintenance and repairs

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

-Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
-Highly responsible & reliable
-Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
-Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
-Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
-Constant standing and walking throughout shift
-Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
-Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling
-Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
